With AI and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) both on the rise, experts have been analysing how AI may improve access to justice but also risk increasing technological bias and unlawful outcomes. These pros and cons of AI interacting with ADR will be analysed in this one-hour webinar.

The expert speaker will explore the impact of AI driven negotiation platforms and chatbots and how they are impacting access to justice in different areas of the world. Discussion will then be narrowed to the UK to consider the current role ADR plays in our legal systems and the challenges that come with incorporating AI. This session will be an important discussion for anyone who works with ADR or in related fields.

Learning outcomes:

  • Explore how AI can influence and potentially increase access to ADR
  • Analyse how to balance efficiency with human oversight if AI does begin to integrate into ADR further
  • Reflect on the types of regulation ADR would need were AI to integrate further into this operation
