The Sixth Edition of the Scottish Standard Clauses came into effect on 1st January 2025. Following a full year of practice, we are looking at the impact that this has had on conveyancing.

The new edition makes changes to provisions concerning warranties for appliances, the standard of certifications required in New Home Warranty Schemes, a new limitation of claims amount (set to £500) and much more. This webinar will look at the reason for the change and highlight the importance of the new clauses in the conveyancing process.

Learning outcomes:

  • Broaden your knowledge of the Scottish Standard Clauses and the general position of the buyer and the seller in the new edition.
  • Understand the practical implications of the new standard clauses and gain confidence in advising your clients.
  •  Benefit from peer-to-peer discussion on the changes in practice brought about by the new standard clauses.
