Join us in August for a comprehensive look at the policy and regulation stemming from the climate change emergency in Scotland. It is important to understand the policy driving this change as this will affect many individuals, businesses and organisations including property developers, landlords, producers and retailers.
Chala McKenna, an accredited environmental law specialist and Chartered Waste and Resource Managers with the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) will offer specialist insight into policy drivers affecting change, Scottish climate change targets and the key policies and regulations flowing from this.
Learning outcomes
- Identify the international agreements from which climate change regulation stems
- Recognise the Scottish climate change targets and the Scottish government’s plans to meet these - namely the route map to 2025 and beyond and the Circular Economy Bill
- Learn about impending policy and regulation caused by tacking climate change such as the heating our homes and buildings strategy, regulations relating to the requirement for electric vehicle charge points and the incineration review
