The Scottish Government is currently considering new regulations to protect consumers undergoing non-surgical cosmetic procedures. As we await the results of the consultation process, we are looking at the current state of the law governing businesses and individuals who offer non-surgical cosmetic procedures and considering the rights of consumers using these services.
Derek Couper, Head of Clinical Negligence at Slater and Gordon, will cover the current regulations in place and the position which the courts have taken in negligence claims against providers of cosmetic procedures. We will also reflect on the potential impact of the reforms being considered by the Scottish Government.
