Join us for an hour-long webinar on the management of pensions in cases of divorce and dissolution given the current financial landscape.

Due to the substantial and sizeable nature of pensions, their treatment in cases of divorce and dissolution can be an overlooked but highly important matter. Caroline Gillespie, Partner at Weightmans, will be using this webinar to briefly highlight the important statutes and case law in this field, to create a foundation from which she can deep dive into the minutiae of handling pensions in the turbulence of the current financial markets.

No matter your level of experience this webinar promises new insight and information for everyone, with time guaranteed for discussion and questions with the speaker and fellow colleagues.

Learning outcomes:

  • Learn and/or refresh your knowledge about the laws and case law governing the handling of pensions in divorce and dissolution, such as the Family Law (Scotland) Act 1985 and precedent from McDonald v McDonald
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of how best to handle pensions given financial markets at present
  • Stay updated with the current state of this area of law and learn tips and tricks for the management of pensions to best advise your clients
