With a great deal of change afoot in the sector this year so far, join us in August for a lunchtime webinar focused on the intersection of one of the latest developments in employment law and the needs of neurodivergent employees. Following the recent enactment of the Employment Relations (Flexible Working) Act 2023 and the Workers (Predictable Terms and Conditions) Act 2023, this session will explore how these regulations align with the Equality Act 2010 to impact different types of discrimination and the requirement for employers to make reasonable adjustments. Our expert speaker, Paman Singh, will explore the potential practical implications of these changes, with a specific focus on whether employers’ responsibilities in supporting neurodivergent individuals in the workplace have been heightened in any meaningful way.
Learning outcomes:
- Understand when the Equality Act 2010 applies in relation to employees who are neurodivergent
- Gain an overview of the legislative landscape in this area, including new rules introduced by the Employment Relations (Flexible Working) Act 2023 and the Workers (Predictable Terms and Conditions) Act 2023
