1.5 hours verifiable CPD

Join us in June for an insightful seminar which will focus mainly on mobile phone forensics, with some discussion of general digital forensics areas that frequently appear in court. This session is designed for all legal professionals involved in cases where mobile phone evidence is relevant and will provide attendees with a fundamental understanding of key mobile phone forensic concepts and their relevance in court.

As a result of the digitisation of our society, digital evidence is appearing before civil and criminal courts more frequently. Smartphones, computers, and video doorbells are all examples of technology which many people use daily that are capable of collecting and storing digital evidence. As the usage of this technology increases, so does the presence of digital evidence within our legal system.

This session will be hosted Calum Baird and Allan Robb, two members of the Digital Forensics and Incident Response team at Systal. Both speakers have years of experience in law enforcement and processing digital evidence. They will provide an invaluable insight for any legal professional seeking to broaden their understanding of mobile phone forensics, and all attendees will have the chance to engage with the speakers and ask questions.

Learning outcomes:

  • Learn how to identify mobile phone evidence sources relevant to your case
  • Develop your understanding of mobile phone forensic processes and potential evidence available
  • Gain confidence in assessing mobile phone evidence and how it can be utilised in cases
