Hamish Patrick, Partner at Shepherd Wedderburn, will deep dive into three of the most important changes with the MTA: 1) the modernisation of the law of assignation and the introduction of the new ‘Statutory Pledge’; 2) the introduction of the new Register of Assignations and Registers of Statutory Pledges; and 3) the new choices businesses will have to leverage their moveable property to obtain finance.
