This course is designed for legal professionals at all levels who want to develop transferable skills using project management methodologies. It focuses on applying structured planning and coordinated delivery techniques to complex legal tasks - such as cases, transactions, or compliance processes - by viewing them as projects that can benefit from clear planning frameworks and available technology. Proactively structuring business activities with defined objectives from the outset helps legal professionals save time, optimise resources, and improve their chances of successfully achieving their goals.
Delivered over three 2-hour sessions, each session is tailored to specific aspects of legal project management, from scoping and stakeholder management to leveraging technology and driving workflow efficiency.

Course content
Session 2: Managing Projects and Risk
Tuesday 22 April, 1.30pm to 3.30pm
Session two focuses on participant's reflections on applying project management principles, emphasising advanced time management, prioritisation, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance strategies tailored to legal projects:
- Time Management and Prioritisation for Legal Teams
- Tools and methods for handling multiple cases, managing deadlines, and optimising billable
hours while balancing client needs. - Risk Management and Compliance
- Identifying and mitigating risks unique to legal projects, with a focus on ensuring regulatory
compliance and minimising exposure to legal liabilities.
Session 3: Working Efficiently, Software and AI
Tuesday 13 May, 1.30pm to 3.30pm
This last session on focuses on leveraging technology and practical strategies to optimise legal project management, highlighting tools for document management, case tracking, team collaboration, and methods to streamline workflows, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance productivity:
