Join us to gain the latest insights into residential property law. You will be provided with an overview of recent case law affecting the sector alongside an update from the Scottish Law Commission on the progress of their reform project on Tenement Law, ahead of the publication of their Discussion Paper on the topic.

The seminar will present you with the opportunity to fine-tune your knowledge of specific types of residential property transactions and disputes, including managing risk in conveyancing transactions. Our expert speakers will guide you through regulatory updates in these areas and provide you with practical tips to ensure you are able to confidently assist clients with up-to-date, high-quality advice.

This seminar will be of interest to both lawyers and paralegals who specialise in residential property, including conveyancers, and those for whom residential property law forms part of their practice.

Learning outcomes:

  • Gain an overview of recent developments in case law and legislation relating to residential property law
  • Improve your knowledge of the key issues affecting transactions and disputes regarding new build properties, including trouble-shooting, finding solutions and regulatory compliance
  • Understand the challenges associated with buy-to-let residential properties and develop your ability to address these
  • Enhance your client communication skills in relation to cases concerning residential property
