1 hour verifiable CPD | Attendance at this webinar will fulfil the annual one hour of Risk Management CPD required by all Scottish solicitors

By now we have all heard of the case in which a lawyer relied on case law that was made up or “hallucinated” by AI. Fears about the potential for such risks when using AI is one of the biggest barriers to the legal industry keeping up with technological changes. Join us for the first of two one-hour webinars dedicated to equipping you with the necessary tools to mitigate risk when using AI.

This webinar focuses on bias and discrimination, ethical concerns and hallucinations as risks to be mitigated when using AI. Specific tools for risk management will be presented to improve the safety, security, transparency and accountability of the AI programs that are available for use. It will be followed by a separate webinar on risk management from a data protection and client confidentiality perspective. After these two webinars you will be equipped with the necessary skills to decrease instances of risk in AI and detect new ones as they arise.

Learning outcomes:

  • Gain an overview of some of the most pressing risks that are being raised with the incorporation of AI into the legal sector
  • Learn how to mitigate these risks as you consider utilising or begin introducing AI into your organisation
  • Learn some of the ‘dont’s’ when it comes to using AI in daily tasks
