The times they are a-changing and in a bid to better meet our members’ needs we’re changing the format of the Journal, making it more content hub than content pub(lication).
We’re taking the good and the great from the hard copy journal (and the digital version too, of course), mixing in more voices and views, and shaking it up with a good measure of investigation and intelligence. We’re getting under the skin of what it means to be a legal professional in Scotland in 2024 – the sights and sounds, the challenges and the champions. And we couldn’t be more excited.
Although we’re launching with slightly modified Journal webpages, these are only placeholders for our new interviews and articles, and we’re beavering away in the background building a brand-new Journal section of the Society website.
"It's you, your working lives and the challenges you're facing
which will shape the content that appears"
The name is here to stay, but how the content is executed and delivered, who we’re talking to, how it’s hosted, and the way it will engage members will all be very different. We want to see more videos and podcasts, webinars and roundtables, newsletters and social media activity. If you digest content in a certain way, we want our content delivery to reflect this. Talk to us, put yourself forward to be interviewed, tell us what’s happening in your neck of the woods. It’s you, your working lives and the challenges you’re facing which will shape the content that appears. We hope you’ll join us on this new chapter in the Journal’s history.
As the UK's leading membership content agency, Think specialises in building engagement and driving loyalty through effective content. Coupled with the extensive legal experience, knowledge and understanding from the Journal’s new digital editor, Rebecca Morgan, the Think editorial and commercial teams will be working hard to deliver insight and information that resonates with the membership – the person and the professional. There’ll be area-specific content, content suited to different career stages, in-house or private practice related… There'll be something in there for everyone.
"Want to share your thoughts about the journey the Journal's
been on and where it should be heading?"
Want to share your thoughts about the journey the Journal’s been on and where it should be heading? Look out for the readership survey in the coming months. We look forward to hearing from as many members as possible. We know it’s yet another questionnaire, but the results will be invaluable to us as we seek to flesh out our thinking for content in 2024.
If you would like to get in touch, whether that be to provide a story or some thoughts/insights, be interviewed for a feature, or to write for us, please do email rebecca.morgan@thinkpublishing.co.uk
