Regulation or resilience?

12th September 2024

The next In-house Sustainability Toolkit event, taking place this month, will explore supply chains scrutiny.

Supply chain issues are becoming more commonplace and many organisations are having to critically consider supply chain implications.

Where does the responsibility for supply chains begin and end? What are the key issues that organisations need to pay attention to? And what is driving an increased focus on supply chains – regulations like the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, or a need to ensure that organisations’ operations are resilient and sustainable?

Join the In-house Sustainability Toolkit team as they share insights and discuss the trends and practicalities of thinking about supply chain issues and their implications.

Dr Theodor Cojoianu will share insights on trends in corporate sustainability reporting and will present emerging research that points to the issues organisation should consider when assessing the impact of their supply chains. Theodor is an Associate Professor in sustainable finance at the University of Edinburgh Business School. He has extensive experience working with regulators and is a member of the European Commission’s Platform on Sustainable Finance, where he advises the Commission on EU sustainable finance policy, and HM Treasury’s Green Technical Advisory Group.

A panel comprising legal practitioners will discuss the practicalities of strategically managing supply chain opportunities and risks. The event will conclude with an opportunity for networking over refreshments.
