Scottish Legal Awards nominees in full — all 98 nominations ahead of glitzy ceremony

5th June 2025 Written by: Joshua King
A behind-the-scenes look at last year's ceremony.

The judges have whittled down scores of entries to the 2025 Scottish Legal Awards to reveal a shortlist.

Now in it's 22nd year, the event is a highlight in the legal calendar and celebrates the achievements of Scottish solicitors and the broader profession.

Last year, winners included MBM Commercial (Firm of the Year), Cashroom (Legal Technology Award), Janet Hood (Law Champion of the Year, Posthumously), Stephen McGowan (Lawyer of the Year) and Lady Dorrian (Lifetime Achievement).

The 2025 Scottish Legal Awards is raising funds for two important organisations: (the newly rebranded) Lawscot Foundation and It’s Good 2 Give.

Sponsors of this year's event and categories include the Law Society of Scotland, Denovo Amiqus, Frasia Wright Associates, Groundsure, Hamiltons Law Accountants, Property Searches Scotland, and The Times and The Sunday Times Scotland.

Check out the full list of finalists below, chosen by a judging panel led by Lorna Jack, renowned for her expert industry experience.

When an invoice is not a contract: the authorities behind the analysis
