FACULTY OF ADVOCATES, Bruce Langlands has been appointed as the next director of training and education (taking up his new post in July this year).
NATURESCOT, Professor James Harrison (of Edinburgh Law School)has been appointed as a member of the board of NatureScot.

With Alex Garioch (formerly head of litigation at Morisons), solicitor advocate and Rosie Walker (Partner) making the move. Rosie has also been appointed Head of Litigation and Dispute Resolution.
SHEPHERD AND WEDDERBURN LLP, has promoted two of its lawyers to partner and seven to legal director effective from 1st May. The newly-appointed partners are Kirsty Headden (pensions) and John Townsend (property and infrastructure). LINDSAYS, has appointed Doran Mitchell as a director in its private client team.
DIGBY BROWN, has appointed Colin Moffat (Glasgow office) and Richard Pitts (Edinburgh office) to partner in recognition of their work for historic abuse survivors. Gordon Dalyell has been appointed as supervising head of the historic abuse team.

SCTS, the Lord President (On behalf of the SCTS board) has announced that Malcolm Graham will be appointed as SCTS chief executive effective from July 2024. This enables a suitable handover ahead of the retirement of the current chief executive, Eric McQueen.
DAC BEACHCROFT, the partners of the Edinburgh and Glasgow offices have elected Louise Gallagher as the new location head for DAC Beachcroft in Scotland (with her 3 year term commencing on 1st May 2024). Having joined in 2019, Louise takes over from current location head John Maillie.
SCOTTISH COURTS, Aisha Anwar, the Sheriff Principal of Glasgow and Strathkelvin, has been appointed by the Scottish ministers to act as a temporary judge. Sheriff Principal Anwar is the president of the Sheriff Appeal Court.
KENNEDYS, welcomes Anne Kentish as a partner in Scotland, based in Edinburgh. Anne joins from Clyde & Co, where she latterly led the professional indemnity team in Scotland. Anne will be joined by legal director, Colette Finnieston.
CMS, has appointed Carol Nisbet, (a partner in the real estate group) as its new Aberdeen office managing partner. Having joined the Aberdeen team in 2014, then being promoted to partner in 2019 and also head of the Aberdeen real estate team, Carol succeeds Norman Wisely, who served in the role for the past 10 years.
DIGBY BROWN, has announced that partner Stuart Barton and associate Elizabeth Morrison have received APIL accreditation for both brain and spinal cord injuries.
