Scottish Barony Register fee rise
Revised charges apply from 1 September 2013
The Scottish Barony Register, the private register founded to record transfers of claims of entitlement to baronial dignities post the abolition of the feudal system, regrets that, due to increased running costs, the fees and charges for its services increased from 1 September 2013. Revised charges are:
- Application for first registration of claim of entitlement tobaronial dignity: £700
- Application for subsequent registration on transfer of registered claim: £350
- Provision of letter of comfort or confirmation: £50
- Provision of letter to Lord Lyon: £50
