ABERDEIN CONSIDINE, Aberdeen and elsewhere, has appointed Naeema Sajid as a partner at its Exchange Tower, Edinburgh, office, where she will provide family law services. She joins from DRUMMOND MILLER LLP.
The firm has also promoted Isabelle Douglas to associate partner, and Leah Bowman to senior solicitor, within its established family law team in Aberdeen.
BRODIES LLP, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, has appointed Donna Kelly-Gilmour (who joins from WRIGHT JOHNSTONE & MACKENZIE) as a partner in its Real Estate team, based in Glasgow, from 10 March 2014, and Sarah Sleigh (who joins from GREEN CAT RENEWABLES) as a director in its Energy & Infrastructure team, based in Aberdeen, from 17 March 2014. Both work in renewable energy. The firm has also appointed Tom Hickey, who is dual qualified in England & Wales and in the State of California, to its oil and gas team from 6 April 2014. He joins from TRANSOCEAN, where he was general counsel, and will continue to operate from Paris.
BRECHIN TINDAL OATTS, Glasgow and Edinburgh, has announced the appointment of Julie Scott as an associate in its Construction & Engineering team. Based in the Edinburgh office, she joins from BURNESS PAULL. The firm has also announced that Alan Borthwick, previously head of the Property & Real Estate team, became chairman on 1 April 2014, succeeding Willie Young, who retired from the firm on that date to pursue other interests.

The partners of HBM SAYERS, Glasgow and Edinburgh, are delighted to announce that Shirley Wyles and Greg MacDougall, both of the Edinburgh office, were assumed partners of the firm with effect from 1 February 2014. The solicitors and staff of Wilson Terris moved to TC Young’s Edinburgh office at 69a George Street, where the private client business will practise under the name of TC YOUNG WILSON TERRIS. Grant Knight has become a partner and George Scott an associate in TC Young. The remainder of TC Young’s practice will continue under the name TC YOUNG.
