HBM SAYERS, Glasgow and Edinburgh, has merged with UK firm BERRYMANS LACE MAWER with effect from 1 May 2014. The combined practice will be known as BLM, a risk and insurance law-based practice with 170 partners, 630 lawyers and technical experts, and 1,550 employees in 12 offices across England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
INKSTERS solicitors, Glasgow, Inverness, Wick and Portree have appointed Michelle Hynes as a legal process engineer to systematise the firm’s legal processes within their cloud-based case management system.
IRWIN MITCHELL, Glasgow and elsewhere, has appointed Craig Marshall, managing partner of Irwin Mitchell Scotland, as chief executive for the Group’s Personal Legal Services (PLS) Division from 1 May 2014, after Andrew Tucker stepped up from the role to become Group chief executive.
