BALFOUR + MANSON, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, announces the promotion of private client specialist Shona Brown from associate to partner, to head its Client Welfare team. The firm also welcomes two new solicitors, Stephanie Zak and Scott McCulloch, to its Edinburgh and Aberdeen Commercial Law and Litigation teams respectively.
BLACKADDERS, Dundee, Arbroath, Forfar, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, has agreed a merger with CONDIES, of Tay Street, Perth. David Reid and James Morris of Condies become partners at Blackadders and Alastair Duncan a consultant. Under a separate agreement, Colin Blaikie, a sole practitioner in Edinburgh currently operating from Broughton Street, will become a partner in Blackadders and move to the company’s office at 5 Rutland Square, Edinburgh along with all members of staff. The changes take effect from 1 October 2014.
EDINBURGH AIRPORT has appointed Stephen Swan as legal counsel. Stephen will support each of the airport’s business areas in all legal matters. He joins Edinburgh Airport after seven years as legal counsel for Aerospace and Defence company RAYTHEON UK.
GILLESPIE MACANDREW, Edinburgh and Perth, has recruited three specialists to its Private Client team. Agnes Mallon, formerly with TODS MURRAY, has been appointed as legal director, focusing on trusts and tax planning for individuals; Lianne Lodge, formerly with PAGAN OSBORNE, joins as an associate, specialising in advising elderly clients and their families; and Brendan Kelly has been appointed as a tax manager.
