ABERDEIN CONSIDINE, Aberdeen and elsewhere, is to open a new Glasgow office led by Paul Jennings, who joins from ANDERSON STRATHERN. The partnership has also expanded in Aberdeen with the addition of a new flagship property branch on one side of Union Street and a Pension Advice Centre on the other. To support the expansion, the firm has also promoted eight lawyers and appointed its first chief financial officer. Chris Comfort, Mairi Kennedy, Douglas Telfer and Sean MacMillan have been promoted to associates, while Samantha Morrice, Kirsty Allan, Vicki Alexander and Nicola Jane Scott have been made senior solicitors. CFO John Perry has arrived from BAKER TILLY.
ANDERSON STRATHERN, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Haddington, has appointed Natalie McCartney, solicitor advocate, to its healthcare team, based in the Glasgow office. She joins from THOMPSONS.
BALFOUR+MANSON, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, announces the appointment of Hugh Angus as a partner in its Commercial and Charities team. He joins from MORTON FRASER.
CMS LLP, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and elsewhere, announces the appointment of partners Shona Frame, joining from MACROBERTS, and Ian McCann, joining from DWF, to its Construction team in Scotland.
DWF LLP, Glasgow, Edinburgh and elsewhere, has appointed Ben Powell as a partner in its construction, infrastructure and projects team in Edinburgh. He worked most recently at TODS MURRAY.
David Findlay, solicitor, previously with MACLEOD & MACCALLUM, Inverness, has joined the GOVERNMENT LEGAL SERVICE FOR SCOTLAND to take up appointment as solicitor to the CROFTING COMMISSION.
LAWFORD KIDD, solicitors, Edinburgh, announce the appointment of Bethany Roby as an associate with the firm. Senior partner David Sandison has moved to a consultancy role in the firm. The appointments take effect from 1 January 2015.
