ANDERSON STRATHERN, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Haddington, has appointed chartered accountant Graeme Bissett to its board as a non-executive director.
BALFOUR+MANSON, Edinburgh and Aberdeen, is pleased to welcome Karen Wilkie as a solicitor in the Aberdeen employment team. She joins from PETERKINS.
BRECHIN TINDAL OATTS (bto) solicitors, Glasgow and Edinburgh, has announced the appointment of Graeme Kelly and Elaine Del Valle to its Edinburgh based property team. Graeme Kelly joins from DWF (formerly BIGGART BAILLIE) as a partner; Elaine Del Valle joins as an associate from PAGAN OSBORNE.
The firm has also promoted Caroline Earnshaw of the construction and engineering team in the Edinburgh office to associate, whilst in the Glasgow office Calum Sweeney and Angus Gillies of the insurance team, Lindsay MacNeill of the health and safety team, and Ross Campbell of the commercial litigation team have all been promoted to senior solicitors.
BRODIES LLP, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, has expanded its corporate & commercial team with the partner appointments of Douglas Crawford and Helen Machin, who join the firm from CMS CAMERON McKENNA and will be based in Aberdeen, and Karen Fountain, who previously worked with FRESHFIELDS, London and is now based in Edinburgh.

DIGBY BROWN, Edinburgh and elsewhere, has opened its seventh office in Scotland at 24 Sandgate, Ayr KA7 1BW. The office will be led by partner Damian White.
DWF, Edinburgh Glasgow and elsewhere, has announced eight promotions in its Scottish offices. Robin Watt (commercial real estate) has been made a partner, and Douglas Jefferies (commercial) a director. Six senior solicitors have been advanced to associate: Philip Knight and Emma Forester (commercial litigation), Alicia Ebdy (employment), and Ashleigh Farrell, Andrew Martin and Gregor Duthie (real estate).
GALLOWAY & AYRSHIRE PARTNERSHIP LLP, trading in Girvan as SMITH & VALENTINE and in Newton Stewart as McCORMICK & NICHOLSON, announce the retirement of Stewart Sheddon with effect from 31 December 2015.
