The CHURCH OF SCOTLAND announces that it has appointed Mary Macleod as the new Solicitor of the Church and Law Agent of the General Assembly, in succession to Janette Wilson, who is retiring.

THORNTONS, Dundee and elsewhere, has appointed Helen Archibald as its chief operations officer. She joins from the position of assistant principal at DUNDEE & ANGUS COLLEGE. She held the post of director of human resources at Thorntons between 2004 and 2009.
