ACCESS LEGAL, the private client arm of SHOOSMITHS LLP, has appointed Judy Williamson as a senior associate in its medical negligence team in Edinburgh, joining from ANDERSON STRATHERN, and Sheila Byth as a family law associate, joining from BLACKADDERS.
ADIE HUNTER, Glasgow is pleased to announce the appointment of Mhairi McAllister as an associate with the firm from 1 February 2016.

GILSON GRAY, Edinburgh and Glasgow, has appointed Deborah McCathie as a partner and Head of Residential Conveyancing, based primarily in the firm’s Edinburgh office. She joins from WARNERS LLP, along with Cheryl Anderson, senior solicitor, and Emma Mackenzie.
HARPER MACLEOD, Glasgow and elsewhere, has appointed Richard Murray, who joins from SHOOSMITHS, and Dawn Robertson, who has experience at a number of Scottish firms, as partners in its Edinburgh office in private client and employment respectively.

NAFTALIN DUNCAN & Co, Glasgow, announces that Derek Livingston has stepped down as a partner with effect from 31 January 2016 to take up a permanent position as summary sheriff in the Sheriffdom of Tayside, Central & Fife at Falkirk. Derek will remain as a consultant with the firm until 31 March 2016.
