ADDLESHAW GODDARD, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and elsewhere, announce that Tony McGlennan will join its Global Investigations team as a legal director in September 2018. He joins from the post of compliance officer at the SCOTTISH FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION.
BRODIES LLP, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen, has appointed civil solicitor advocate Tony Jones QC as a partner in its advocacy unit.
BTO SOLICITORS LLP, Glasgow and Edinburgh, has appointed as partners Ross Brown and Lynn Melville, who will lead its Trusts, Estates & Tax Planning department in Glasgow and Edinburgh respectively. Tony Jones and Roddy Harrison are to leave BTO to pursue careers with other firms.
Iain Considine has announced that he will be stepping down from his role as a senior partner at ABERDEIN CONSIDINE, Aberdeen and elsewhere and will now become a consultant at the firm. His daughter Laura Considine will succeed him as the partner responsible for the firm’s Stonehaven office.
John Crawford, corporate legal resource manager, SKILLS DEVELOPMENT SCOTLAND, announces that he has retired.
DAVIDSON CHALMERS, Edinburgh and Galashiels, has appointed Jacqueline Cook, dual qualified in Scotland and England & Wales, as a director and head of planning. She joins from PINSENT MASONS.
DENTONS UK & MIDDLE EAST LLP has announced the appointment of Lisa Sewell as managing director for that region, replacing Brandon Ransley, who retired earlier this year. She arrives from THE ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND.
Dentons has also appointed Roddy Harrison as a partner in the Private Client & Charities team within the UK Tax department. He joins from BTO SOLICITORS where he headed the private client practice. He will work across all Dentons’ offices in the UK.

Catriona Melton, previously in-house counsel with HYMANS ROBERTSON, has been appointed a senior legal adviser specialising in data protection. Zoe Fowlie, who trained and qualified with GILLESPIE MACANDREW, is one of a number of hires into Vialex’s Transaction Services team.
