Paralegal pointers

Preview of autumn events of the Scottish Paralegal Association
15th October 2018 | Alison Smith

At the time of going to print, our second conference of the year, this time in Dundee, had not yet happened. Tickets have been selling well and we have a superb lineup of speakers and sponsors.

As most of you will know, we have been holding “meet and greet” evenings every few months. These have been well attended, but as we’re always looking at different ways to assist and support our members, we have joined forces with some of our key partners and have started to deliver CPD events.

We have had two events so far, in the Faculty Library in Glasgow. On the first evening, we welcomed Property Searches Scotland, and on the second, First Scottish. We have a third coming up, on 23 October 2018, and CLT has very kindly arranged for John Kerrigan to deliver a talk on family law, no doubt a very informative presentation as always. We’d like to thank all who have attended, and our partners for teaming up with us. We will be running more events in the future, not just in Glasgow, so watch your inbox or our website for further dates.

We are also having our usual “Christmas Pie and Prosecco” evening at the start of December. The Glasgow date is confirmed as Wednesday 5 December in the Grand Central Hotel; the Edinburgh date will be confirmed shortly. We hope to see many of you there!

We are delighted to offer our members a very special benefit. The Grand Central Hotel has kindly agreed to offer members a 10% discount off its “best day price”. This is a fabulous offer and we are delighted to be able to bring this. The hotel has been a long-time supporter of the Scottish Paralegal Association and we’d like to thank it for its generosity. Please contact us for further details.

As always if you have any comments, requests etc, please get in touch. The SPA is your voice: please use it.
