ABERDEIN CONSIDINE, Aberdeen and elsewhere, announces that Euan McSherry, a civil solicitor advocate, has joined the firm as a partner and head of Dispute Resolution, based in Edinburgh. He was previously a partner with DWF LLP, where he led the Litigation team in Scotland.
BLACKADDER & McMONAGLE, Falkirk, announce the retirement from private practice of their partner, Morgan Wheeler, with effect from 31 October 2018, and are pleased to announce the appointment of their associate, Catriona Macdonald, as a partner with effect from 1 November 2018 and the appointment of their legal assistant, Graham Blyth, as a partner with effect from 2 November 2018.
BLACKADDERS, Dundee and elsewhere, has appointed accredited specialist Donna Reynolds, previously a director with CCW BUSINESS LAWYERS, which has merged with WRIGHT, JOHNSTON & MACKENZIE, as a partner in the Employment Law team, splitting her time between the firm’s Edinburgh and Dundee offices; and Suzi Low as an associate solicitor in the Corporate & Commercial team based in Dundee.
BLM, Edinburgh, has appointed partner Caroline Gillespie as head of the Family Law team in Scotland. She succeeds Siobhan Kelly, who becomes a Family Law consultant with the firm.
COULTERS, Edinburgh, has announced the appointment of Ken Ireland as its chief executive officer. Trained as a chartered surveyor, he has held senior roles both in the UK and internationally, in Glasgow, London, Edinburgh and Hong Kong.
DAVIDSON CHALMERS, Edinburgh, has recruited Laura Irvine as a partner to head its newly launched Regulatory team. She joins from BTO SOLICITORS where she was a partner.
GILLESPIE MACANDREW, Edinburgh, Perth and Glasgow, has experienced commercial property lawyer Andrew Yule as legal director. He joins the business following a previous directorial position with BURNESS PAULL.
GILSON GRAY, Glasgow, Edinburgh and North Berwick, has appointed Euan Fleming as as partner and head of its Private Client team, and Joe Davies as a senior solicitor in the team. Both join from ADDLESHAW GODDARD and were part of the team due to transfer to MORTON FRASER.
GOVAN LAW CENTRE, Glasgow has announced the appointment of its senior solicitor Lorna Walker as a partner in the firm of DAILLY & CO, solicitors at Govan Law Centre.
HILL & ROBB LTD, Stirling is delighted to announce the promotion of Peter Moffett in its Commercial department and Alan Rodger in its Court department to directors, with immediate effect.
JARDINE DONALDSON, Alloa and Stirling, and MATHIE MACLUCKIE, Stirling, announce the amalgamation of their practices with effect from 1 November 2018. The business of Mathie MacLuckie has transferred to the Stirling office of Jardine Donaldson, with John Barr and Graham Cunningham, both partners of Mathie MacLuckie, joining Jardine Donaldson as consultants, and Victoria Taylor as an associate. The merged practices will continue under the name of JARDINE DONALDSON.
MACDONALD HENDERSON, Glasgow, has appointed Stacy Campbell as director in its Commercial Property team. She joins from a similar position with LINDSAYS WS.
McGILL & CO, Glasgow and Edinburgh, are pleased to announce that Amna Ashraf has been promoted to the position of associate from 1 December 2018, and that John Vassiliou, associate has been promoted to partner to take effect on 1 January 2019.
McKENZIES, Kirkcaldy, hereby announced that John S Wellburn has resigned from the firm with effect from 1 November 2018. In the Corporate group, Tara Walsh and Zara Diloo have been appointed as directors, and Calum Hamilton and Gavin Smith as associates. Claudia Duffy and Michael Ellis of ELLIS IP join the team as European patent attorney consultants.
