Partners Ian Davidson and Lauren Wright and their 15 staff will become part of Harper Macleod from 2 September 2019. Partner Damian Marinello will join Harper Macleod as a consultant. The firm will retain its Elgin premises and in Moray will initially operate as HARPER MACLEOD INCORPORATING WINK & MACKENZIE.

Robbie McKenzie has been appointed to general counsel and chief risk and compliance officer at LENDINGCROWD, a fintech lending platform. Dual qualified in Scotland and England, he joins from private equity fund manager POLLEN STREET CAPITAL.
Michelle Macleod, solicitor, has been appointed as the new Police Investigations and Review Commissioner. Currently HM Chief Inspector for the Inspectorate of Prosecution in Scotland, she will take up her new role on 17 August 2019.

RAEBURN CHRISTIE CLARK & WALLACE, Aberdeen, Ellon, Stonehaven, Inverurie and Banchory, has announced the retirement of Anne Boyd, Barbara Calderwood and Pamela Bursill as partners in the firm with effect from 30 April 2019. They are delighted that all will be remaining with the firm as consultants. Keith Allan retired as the firm’s managing partner at the same time, after eight years in the role and almost 40 years as partner. His successor in the role is Callum A McDonald, who has also been with the firm for almost 40 years.

Thorntons’ Arbroath office has marked the retirement of partner George Dunlop and associate David Dundas, following a combined 82 years’ service to the firm.
