People on the move: August 2022
BLACKADDERS LLP, Dundee and elsewhere, has announced new board appointments to serve alongside newly elected joint managing partners Emma Gray and Ryan McKay. Laura McDowall, head of the Private Client group, Simon Allison, head of Employment, and Kirk Dailly, head of Corporate & Commercial, have joined the board. Campbell Clark, head of the Business Services group, has been reappointed. Peter Duff remains chairman.
BROWN & McRAE, Fraserburgh and Turriff, intimate that with effect from 30 June 2022, Graeme Walker has retired from the firm. Brown & McRae wish Graeme a long and happy retirement.
W & A S BRUCE, Dunfermline, intimate that Keith Kordula retired as a partner of the firm with effect from 31 July 2022.

GILLESPIE MACANDREW, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth, has appointed Michael Shaw as its new chair. After more than 20 years in private practice at HERBERT SMITH FREEHILLS and CLIFFORD CHANCE, he was deputy group general counsel at BARCLAYS, and then RBS/NATWEST GROUP general counsel from 2016, prior to retiring earlier this year. Fiona Morton has retired from the role after five years with the firm.
GILSON GRAY, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and North Berwick, has opened an office at Blenheim Gate, Blenheim Place, Aberdeen AB25 2DZ. The office, which will be full service, will be headed by partners Calum Crighton, who currently leads the Oil, Gas & Energy team, and Richard Shepherd of Real Estate.
