DocuSign offers eSignature, the world's #1 electronic signature solution, Advanced Electronic Signature (AES), Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) and Witnessed Electronic Signature (WES).
As an approved supplier of the Law Society of Scotland, we offer members:
- Simple electronic signature (SES) is the most basic electronic signature available. It does not require strong signer authentication or ID verification. For transactions that can use this type of signature, it is enough to know the signer’s email address, or that they received a unique access code before signing.
- Advanced electronic signature (AES) includes a digital certificate that links the signature to a verified ID with some fundamental rules as to how this ID has been verified. These digital certificates are usually issued by a Trust Service Provider (TSP) also known as a Certificate Authority (CA).
- Qualified electronic signature (QES) includes a qualified digital certificate that indicates that identity verification has been completed face-to-face. The qualified certificates can only be issued by a Qualified Trust Service Provider (QTSP) authorised by regulatory bodies who assess the QTSP security standards.
