This is a practical guide for firms. It covers how firms can improve practice, broaden skills and develop new business by understanding the needs of different clients and staff.  It covers all the protected characteristics set out in the Equality Act 2010.

The guide is designed to support solicitors in understanding why diversity is important and a central element of building a sustainable and profitable business.

The Society regards the promotion of equality and diversity as central to the development of a modern profession.
