  5. Pass the Badge

We launched 'Pass the Badge' to mark World Mental Health Day 2020. Pass the Badge is a campaign from See Me and encourages us to open up about managing our mental health.

Kicking off the Pass the Badge campaign...

Needing to manage mental health shouldn't be a barrier to success in the legal profession and there should be no stigma attached to talking about our mental health, which is why we asked some of our senior leaders in the profession to lead the way by sharing their stories.

How to take part in the campaign

You can still get involved in the Pass the Badge campaign and perhaps you could kick it off in your own workplace, or between some of your networks. You can take part in the campaign on social media platforms like LinkedIn and Twitter, or you could use your intranet or an email chain within your workplace.

Our campaign is focused on how we can build good mental health, increase our resilience and manage stress successfully to make sure we thrive at work and in our personal lives. It's up to you to talk about what is relevant to you.

You might want to share a blog, a video, a tweet or a photo.

Add the Pass the Badge logo and link your post to the campaign

Make sure you add the Pass the Badge logo to your post. You can do this on the Pass the Badge website.

From here, you can download your image with the logo added. It doesn't have to be a picture of you, it might be something you enjoy doing or an image that represents your story.

In addition you can:

1. Use hastags #PasstheBadge and #starttalking so we can track the campaign

2. Add a link to this page so people can find more information

3. Nominate people to pass the badge onto.

Here's an example from our campaign:

I am getting involved in @SeeMe and #LawscotWellbeing's #PasstheBadge campaign to get the legal profession to #starttalking about mental health. Here's my story. Find out how to join in here: (www.lawscot.org.uk/passthebadge). I am passing the badge to (nominee one) and (nominee two)'.

Pass the Badge

We all have mental health, so it’s okay to start talking about it. We are promoting See Me's 'Pass the Badge' campaign and we encourage you to join the conversation.
