Model tenancy agreement amended to reflect new law

The Scottish Government has published a new Model Scottish Secure Tenancy Agreement to reflect the changes being brought in by the Housing (Scotland) Act 2014.

Most of the provisions in the 2014 Act come into force on 1 May 2019, therefore this model agreement will apply to all Scottish secure tenancies created on or after 1 May 2019. The revised model tenancy agreement also takes account of the 2014 Act provisions on assignation, subletting, joint tenancies and succession which come into force from 1 November 2019.
