2019 Scottish Legal Awards open to entries
The Scottish Legal Awards has launched its 2019 programme, with a refreshed lineup of categories including three new awards for the growing in-house sector.
The new categories are designed to recognise in-house teams in both the commercial and public sectors, alongside the introduction of an In-house Lawyer of the Year award to recognise individuals.
A further 4 new categories are on offer to legal firms, which are invited to consider any of 21 categories including Employment Team of the Year, Private Client Team of the Year and a new award for Legal Technology. This year also sees the return of a Commercial Property Team award.
Chairing the judging panel for a fourth year is Shonaig MacPherson≤ who will be joined by a panel of 10 representatives covering the breadth of the industry.
Ms MacPherson commented: "The Scottish Legal Awards continues to be at the forefront of promoting excellence in Scottish law and it is a great honour to chair the judging panel for the fourth year running. With seven new categories, the refreshed programme truly covers the length and breadth of the sector and we look forward to receiving and reviewing all the achievements of individuals and teams operating in the law in Scotland."
Now in its 16th year, the competition is free to enter. Applications should be submitted before 12 noon on Tuesday 20 November. The judging panel will meet in December to decide who will become finalists. The awards ceremony takes place at the Glasgow Hilton on Thursday 21 March 2019.
