Advocate appointed in-house convener at Mental Health Tribunals
The Mental Health Tribunal for Scotland has appointed Morag Jack, advocate, to the post of in-house convener.
Ms Jack, a legal member of the tribunal, will continue in that role in addition to taking up the part-time convener position.
In-house conveners work closely with the President, staff and caseworkers to contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the tribunal.
Ms Jack, who joined the Faculty of Advocates in 2000 after practising as a solicitor, has a long-held interest in mental health law.
