Anderson Strathern hires finance director from PwC deals team
Legal firm Anderson Strathern has turned to global accountancy group PwC for its new finance director.
Susanne Godfrey joins the Edinburgh-headquartered practice to lead its finance team as part of its wider growth and investment strategy. For 16 years she was a director in the deals and restructuring team at PwC. She has extensive experience of advising corporate clients in Scotland and across the UK and has led a number of high profile transactions.
Managing partner Murray McCall commented: “Susanne’s decision to join us is a reflection of the firm’s success in building a strong management resource. A high calibre industry expert like Susanne will be invaluable as we plan our next phase of growth. We’re also firmly of the view that bringing senior commercial business expertise into the firm will pay dividends for us in the medium and longer term.”
Anderson Strathern's board already includes a prominent Scottish business figure, Graeme Bissett. Former Aberdeen Asset Management head of distribution, John Brett, is chief executive of Anderson Strathern Asset Management.
