Andrew Steven given further term at Scottish Law Commission
Dr Andrew Steven has been reappointed as a full time commissioner to the Scottish Law Commission.
Cabinet Secretary for Justice Michael Matheson confirmed today that Dr Steven, who was first appointed in August 2011, will serve a further three years until 28 August 2019.
Dr Steven, a senior lecturer at the Edinburgh Law School, heads the Commission’s property law team. He was lead commissioner in relation to the Report on Prescription and Title to Moveable Property, and also leads the Commission’s substantial project on moveable transactions as well as contributing to its work on compulsory purchase.
