Balfour+Manson promotes family lawyer to partner
Legal firm Balfour+Manson has appointed family law specialist Jamie Foulis, who joined the firm as a trainee only six years ago, as a partner.
Aged 29, Mr Foulis becomes the youngest member of the firm's 20-strong partnership, only six years after joining the firm as a trainee and four years after qualifying as a solicitor.
A member of the Family Law Association, he also volunteers with Citizens' Advice as an adviser on family law matters.
Shona Smith, head of family law at Balfour+Manson, commented: "I'm very pleased to see Jamie assumed as a partner. He is an excellent young lawyer with a very high level of understanding of complex family law issues and a vital member of our team in this busy and ever-changing area."
Elaine Motion, the firm's executive chairman, added: "We have a very strong 'grow your own' policy at Balfour+Manson and also strive to promote talented people, however young they are. That's why I am so pleased to see Jamie join the partnership. I look forward to him playing a big part in the firm's short, medium and long-term future.”
