Banking partner heads six promotions at Harper Macleod
Law firm Harper Macleod has announced a new partner among six promotions across its four offices.
John Pringle becomes a partner in the banking and finance team and will based in the firm's Edinburgh office at Citypoint, Haymarket. He is regularly involved in complex, high-value and multi-jurisdictional transactions.
In the same team, Andrew Ronald in the Glasgow main office is promoted to associate, as are family lawyer Grant Hassan (Inverness) and property solicitor Richard Donaldson (Lerwick).
Two of the firm's non-legal staff have been promoted to partner-equivalent status: tax Manager Amber Heron, and Lerwick-based property manager Robert Bell.
Harper Macleod chairman Professor Lorne Crerar commented: "Announcing the promotion of colleagues in recognition of their hard work and effort is one of the greatest pleasures of leading a law firm. John has significantly contributed to the reputation we have built up over many years in banking and finance, in particular adding to our profile in Edinburgh and the east of Scotland over the past few years.
"Law firms have tended to have very traditional models but at Harper Macleod we have always valued the contribution of our non-lawyer colleagues and were one of the first to appoint a chief executive who was not a solicitor. Both Amber and Robert make a huge difference to our business and we're delighted to welcome them as partner equivalents."
"Through their hard work and talent, all six are hugely valued by both clients and colleagues, and we are delighted to be able to reward their efforts."
