Blackadders wins Insider's "Newcomer" award
Legal firm Blackadders has won the “Best Newcomer” award at The Scottish Business Insider SME300 Awards 2016.
Now in their 10th year, the awards recognise Scotland's best performing companies with turnover between £8m and £20m. The “Best Newcomer” was chosen from one of the 79 businesses that are new to the most recent SME300 listing.
Dundee-headquartered Blackadders has expanded in recent years, and this month announced the acquisition from 1 April of Glasgow practice Boyle Shaughnessy, which will give it a presence in Scotland's four main cities as well as Perth, Arbroath and Forfar.
Receiving the award in Glasgow, Campbell Clark, head of business services at Blackadders, commented: “We are thrilled to receive this award. It recognises the recent success and growth of our business as we implement our strategy to transform Blackadders into a national law firm. A law firm must develop and grow if it is to be sustainable, serve its clients well, and provide the opportunities for career progression that its people deserve. This national award is something of a milestone on Blackadders’ journey.”
