Brodies signs construction specialist

20th October 2014 | careers

Brodies LLP, Scotland's largest home-based legal firm, has added to its construction and engineering team by signing accredited construction law specialist Juliet Haldane.

With more than 20 years’ experience, Ms Haldane has worked in both Scotland and England. She joins from Miller Construction (UK) Ltd, where she was a senior solicitor in the company’s in-house legal department. She previously worked for Pinsent Masons and before that for Dundas & WIlson.

Based at Brodies’ Glasgow office, she joins a team that over the past five years has more than doubled in size to 19. Her experience includes projects with Network Rail and the MOD, along with the electricity and renewable industries advising on procurement and contracts for projects spanning electricity transmission/distribution, tidal technology, onshore wind and anaerobic digestion.

Managing partner Bill Drummond said: “We are delighted that Juliet, who is highly regarded by her clients and the industry alike, is joining our burgeoning construction & engineering team. Her breadth of expertise, and experience of working on some of the country’s biggest construction projects, will be of benefit to clients who are active in property development and construction.”
