Cloch Solicitors makes associate promotion
Glasgow practice Cloch Solicitors has announced the promotion of Sheona Burrow to associate from 1 July 2017.
Ms Burrow, an academic lawyer and winner of the 2013 Cloch Prize for Intellectual Property in the Digital Economy" at the University of Glasgow, started with the boutique corporate practice in June 2014 and is being recognised for her contribution to the firm’s growing commercial property expertise. In recent years she has both progressed a PhD and assisted in completing in excess of £100m of commercial property deals.
Cloch Solicitors managing director Philip Hannay commented: “Sheona has pioneered a new model in progressing both academic and professional careers in tandem and proven that flexible, cost-effective, team-based niche expertise is what more discerning corporate clients are seeking, and respond to. Sheona’s academic investment into all decided intellectual property enterprise court cases has paid dividends for the firm’s IP clients and it has reinforced the Cloch brand overseas, namely in the USA, where Sheona’s conference addresses have cultivated the firm’s US trade missions in 2012 and 2013.”
