Commercial property partner joins Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie
Legal firm Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie has announced the hire of a new partner in commercial property for its Inverness office.
John Smart, previously a partner with Ledingham Chalmers, has worked in the commercial property sector for 21 years, and has experience in both the urban and rural economies, including development work involving business parks and industrial estates, commercial leasing and renewable energy projects. He also has expertise in marine farms and legal issues involving ports and harbours. He will work with senior associate Paul Adams to consolidate and grow WJM’s Inverness commercial property offering.
The firm also operates from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dunblane and Dunfermline.
Welcoming Mr Smart, WJM Inverness partner Angus Macleod said: "Another new face in our Highland office, although John of course is not a new face on the Highland legal scene! His appointment will further strengthen our commercial property team."
