Corporate partner hire for Aberdein Considine

13th March 2018 | careers

Legal firm Aberdein Considine has secured the services of Michael Currie as a partner in its corporate and commercial practice, based in the firm's Glasgow office.

Previously head of corporate at Dallas McMillan solicitors, Mr Currie is dual qualified in Scotland and England & Wales, and has worked in both jurisdictions including for international law firms. He specialises in general corporate advisory and transactional legal work in a broad range of sectors, including healthcare, financial services, property and renewables.

His appointment continues Aberdein Considine’s growth strategy, the main focus of which over the past 12 months has been to bring additional partner-level experience to its legal business. Over that period the firm has made lateral hires in property, private client, family law, and most recently Myra Scott and Laura Browne to banking litigation in the firm’s lender services practice group.

Jacqueline Law, managing partner of Aberdein Considine commented: “We are delighted to welcome Michael as a partner in our corporate team. His transactional experience and expertise in England and Scotland make him a perfect fit for us. This and our other recent senior appointments mean we are well placed to continue to support our clients in Glasgow and across our wider office network.”

Aberdein Considine has also appointed a new business development director, Graeme Ross. He was part of the RBS commercial banking team in Scotland for 14 years before joining accountancy firm Anderson, Anderson & Brown LLP.
