Coulters appoints new chief executive
Residential property firm Coulters has announced the appointment of Ken Ireland as its chief executive officer.
Mr Ireland, who trained as a chartered surveyor, brings extensive management and property experience having held senior roles both in the UK and internationally, in Glasgow, London, Edinburgh and Hong Kong. He has advised lenders, developers and investors in schemes ranging from six to 234 units.
Coulters described the move as a strategic appointment at a time of transition and growth for the business.
Recently it acquired Morton Fraser’s estate agency and conveyancing team in an agreed deal, and expanded into East Lothian from its Edinburgh base.
Margaret McPherson, who held the position of executive chairman at Coulters, has now moved to a non-executive role. She commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Ken to the board. We have a progressive business and a solid foundation to move forward with Ken on board in a full time CEO position. As we continue to evolve as a business, the guidance and direction that he brings to this role will be invaluable.”
