Coulters expands in wake of strong results
Edinburgh solicitor-estate agency Coulters is planning to expand after reporting strong performance for the first year after its merger with HBJ Property.
The firm, which claims an above-industry average profit on turnover of 30%, will open its first legal and administration hub in August, in the city’s Edinburgh Park. Currently being fitted out to provide 20 desks, a boardroom, client waiting area and staff breakout space, the new office space at Lochside Way will bring the business’s administration and solicitor functions under one roof for the first time.
Coulters has also bolstered its sales team with the addition of three new sales administrators, Amanda Kerley, Jamie Stevenson and Shaughan Baynard, who will be based at the company’s offices in Stockbridge and Marchmont.
Chief executive Mark Coulter commented: “We have achieved really strong results, despite operating in a market which has seen a significant shortage of properties, and cemented Coulters as a customer-focused, hard-working and ambitious estate agency, with an expert understanding of the Edinburgh property market."
He added: “Bringing together two companies can prove challenging, but we have become a stronger and more rounded business, with a clear direction for 2017 and beyond.”
