Death announced of former Sheriff Principal Macleod
Norman Macleod QC, former Sheriff Principal of Glasgow and Strathkelvin, died peacefully on 25 February 2018 at home in Lochwinnoch, his family has announced.
Norman Donald Macleod was admitted to the Faculty of Advocates in 1956. He was appointed sheriff principal in 1986 after serving as a temporary sheriff and then sheriff, and became a Queen's Counsel on his appointment as sheriff principal. He retired in 1997.
A service in celebration of his life will be held at Woodside Crematorium, Paisley, on Friday 16 March at 12 noon, to which all are invited.
