Edinburgh Legal Walk gets a second outing
The Edinburgh Legal Walk, held for the first time last year to raise funds for free legal advice services in Scotland, is to take place again this month.
Lawyers, students and anyone with an interest in access to justice are invited to participate in the 10km event, which begins at 5pm on Tuesday 21 October from the Old College Quadrangle of Edinburgh University’s School of Law. The Walk is described as "an easy and pleasant 10km stroll around the city’s key sights".
The Walk supports the provision of free legal advice services in Scotland, and helps to raise the profile of law clinics and other advice agencies who provide access to justice for those who cannot otherwise obtain access to legal services.
Individuals and teams can register for the walk via this link. Organisers told the Journal that people are more than welcome to join up at the event itself, but registration does help if entrants wish to raise money via the fundraising webpage provided by the Access to Justice Foundation.
