Employment lawyer rejoins HBJ Gateley
HBJ Gateley has appointed employment lawyer David Hughes as partner.
Mr Hughes rejoins the firm, and its seven-strong employment team, from Clyde & Co, having moved to its Scottish legacy firm Simpson & Marwick in 2009. An accredited specialist in employment law and a solicitor advocate, he has 25 years' experience of dispute resolution and employment law, acting for a wide range of clients in the public and private sectors.
The appointment comes just ahead of the firm’s merger with Addleshaw Goddard, scheduled to complete on 1 June.
Mr Hughes commented: “I’m rejoining HBJ Gateley at a very exciting time for the firm.
"The merger with Addleshaw Goddard puts us in a strong position to develop our employment law practice across Scotland, especially in the oil and gas sector at a crucial time for the industry and the Scottish economy."
