Energy partner appointment at TLT

7th September 2018 | careers

Legal firm TLT has expanded its clean energy team with the appointment of Nick Shenken as clean energy real estate partner.

Mr Shenken joins after 18 years at Pinsent Masons, where he launched the energy real estate practice in Scotland. He has specialised in clean energy for the last 15 years, across the UK and internationally.

His experience includes advising clients on all aspects of projects related to generation, distribution and supply of all forms of centralised and decentralised energy, from onshore and offshore wind to solar, biomass and marine power and throughout the project lifecycle.

Maria Connolly, national head of Real Estaten and Clean Energy at TLT, commented: "The UK Government has set ambitious targets for the decarbonisation of energy and the industry is gathering momentum in all jurisdictions. We are seeing a lot of innovation – particularly around local clean energy projects; energy storage including co-location and behind-the-meter; energy efficiency; and in the longer term, electric vehicles and their associated infrastructure.

"This is absolutely the right time for us to be investing further in our clean energy services. Nick is an experienced lawyer with an incredible understanding of the market and we are very excited to welcome him to TLT."
