Faculty revises deadline for scholarship applications
Changes are being made to the Faculty of Advocates’ scholarship scheme, which aims to support deserving candidates through their "devilling", or practical training, with the aim of making the devilling process as widely accessible as possible.
One of a package of changes, which will include an increase in the number of scholarships available, is a revision to the timing of scholarship applications.
For those hoping to start devilling in the autumn of 2019, applications for scholarships need to be submitted in the coming weeks, with a deadline of 5pm on Friday, 31 August, 2018. The deadline for matriculation remains mid-October.
Guidance notes for applicants can be seen by clicking here, and further information can be obtained by emailing the Faculty’s admissions officer on admissions@advocates.org.uk. Any prospective devil concerned that they may not meet the deadlines should contact the admissions officer as soon as possible, to allow any requests for late submission to be considered on a case-by-case basis.
